GIA, the foremost authority in gemology has an immediate opening in their New York office for a Director, New York Education to oversee the staffing and maintain a positive, constructive and creative learning and teaching environment. 

 Qualifications:

• Must maintain Director’s and Teacher's Permit/License issued by the New York Department of Education.

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; and minimum of 7-10 years related jewelry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Graduate Gemologist diploma required.

• Intermediate computer skills required.

• Extensive knowledge of GIA required.

• Communicates effectively, gets along with co-workers and management, and deals with others effectively and professionally under pressure.
